Why Use Logs
More and more people today are converting to sustainable wood fuel as it is an environmentally friendly renewable energy source.
The use of wood as a fuel source for heating is much older than civilization and is assumed to have been used by Neanderthals
Today wood fuel is used in open fires and increasing numbers of people are using them in home stoves and also central heating systems.
We believe our logs are the best value in Whitby. With a moisture content always below 20%. Be sure to burn the driest wood in your stove.
Types Of Wood Fuel Products We Supply
We sell split, mixed wood logs for firewood or wood fuel and also kindling. We also supply Whitby and surrounding areas with woodchip and sawdust for mulch, weed suppression, moisture retention, gardens, paths and play areas.
Sawdust can also be used to soak up spills - Keep a bucket handy for accidents, as it is highly absorbent and quickly soaks up oil or paint.
Woodchips contain a great deal of carbon, and they build up the soil. If you use them as mulch, you will improve the condition of your soil. You can also add them to your compost as a carbon "layer. The woodchips will break down and enrich the dirt, making it nutritious for your plants.
Wood Fuel Products Available From Whitby Logs

Hard Or Soft Wood
Hardwood logs burn at a slower and steadier rate giving off a much higher and longer lasting heat and do not spit. This means you won't need to burn as many hardwood logs to heat your home as you would if you were burning softwood logs
